For example, the smallest microswitch on the market at this stage is 0.50 inches x 0.236 feet x 0.197 feet. Although this type of subtle switch is suitable for checking the state of the circuit in a compact disconnector, it can generally only break 0.1 to 3 amperes (A) of current, and the stroke arrangement is also short.

Application sites that require a greater amount of current generally require large switches. For example, in the use of automobile fuel tanks, the micro switch used to check the liquid level meter must be able to show a large stroke arrangement and bear a large amount of current. Generally in the application of the liquid level switch, the switch should immediately drive the centrifugal water pump and bear a large amount of current. This requires a large and medium-sized micro switch with a rated voltage of 20A or 25A at an operating voltage of 129VAC or 250VAC.

Reliable micro-switches can be operated 10 to 20 million times before the mechanical equipment is invalid, and can be operated 50,000 to 100,000 times under a large load before the electrical equipment is invalid.

For small price differences between different quality switches, you must fully consider the fixed cost of the application. Because you not only have to pay for the switch, you also have to pay for the long-term operation of the switch. In many cases, the additional cost required to apply a more reliable switch will be offset by the lower warranty cost during the entire application process.
